What began as a social media campaign calling on candidates in races across the country to pledge their support for pulling the COVID-19 vaccine off the market has grown into a Political Action Committee (PAC) dedicated to funding campaigns that support the cause.

Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, a practitioner in Texas and founder of Coalition of Health Freedom, announced the creation of Americans For Health Freedom in a press release obtained exclusively by The Epoch Times.

“Every person has a fundamental right to informed consent and individual healthcare choice,” said Dr. Bowden, who serves as the PAC President.  “We now have 95 candidates, 75 elected officials, and 1 Surgeon General from 26 states publicly stating the COVID shots must be pulled off the market. Many are also pledging not to take donations from Big Pharma. Over 17,000 physicians stand behind them.”

Over 17,000 physicians and scientists have called for the COVID shots to be pulled off the market, including Dr. Kat Lindley, Dr. Mollie James, and Dr. Molly Rutherford, all three of whom helped start the PAC, according to Dr. Bowden.

Dr. Bowden began the movement “to help support this effort and the candidates who are taking the politically risky move by speaking up against Big Pharma”  in a Dec. 17 post on X, where she called on officials and candidates in races across the country to make clear their positions on the controversial vaccines public.

“Let’s replace the politicians who aren’t protecting their constituents,” Dr. Bowden wrote on the social media platform. “Ask your representatives … publicly whether they stand with 17,000+ doctors to support pulling the Covid shots off the market.”

Initially, Dr. Bowden found two supporters. The post went viral, and two months later nearly one hundred candidates have taken the pledge to disavow the vaccine, she said.

Dewey Collier, a retired lieutenant colonel with 26 years of service in the United States Army, is running in the Texas Republican primary for state representative of District 5. He previously told The Epoch Times that the concepts of liberty and justice compelled him to make the pledge.

“They [the vaccines] never should have been released without a longitudinal study, which, by definition, takes time—time they didn’t take to make sure the shots were safe,” said Mr. Collier. “Now that we have more and more longitudinal data, it is clear the COVID shots are not safe and must be pulled immediately.

“We need to start studying how to help the people who have been injured by the COVID shots, and take measures to assess other vaccines to make sure they haven’t been tampered with,” added Mr. Collier.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) also made the pledge, citing what she claims is increasing evidence that the vaccine may be causing dangerous side effects.

“Sign me on!” Ms. Greene wrote in a Dec 30 post on X, responding to Dr. Bowden’s challenge. “I’ve called out the risky and ineffective COVID-19 vaccines from the very beginning. Recently, I held a hearing with top experts on the countless injuries caused by these experimental jabs. It’s time to say NO to COVID-19 vaccines and remove FDA approval.”

The past two years have seen the COVID-19 vaccines become mired in controversy. The original COVID-19 vaccines were taken by more than 80 percent of Americans after officials pledged that the shots would be effective in combating the disease.

However, once it was revealed that the shots didn’t work as promised, interest in the subsequent booster shots decreased dramatically.

Vaccines could also be attributed to widespread reports of negative health outcomes believed to have been caused by the shots. COVID-19 vaccines have been named the primary suspect in over 1.5 million adverse event reports, according to the FDA Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database. The numbers could be even higher. An FDA-funded study out of Harvard found that VAERS cases represent fewer than 1 percent of vaccine adverse events that actually occur.

Dr. Bowden says the initial goal is for the PAC to reach $1 million, to eventually have the resources to help fund enough candidates that the COVID vaccine will be regarded as a relic of a difficult time in American history.

“The pandemic left a wake of corruption that needs to be dealt with, but first and foremost, we need to prevent further carnage by pulling this dangerous product off the market,” Dr. Bowden told The Epoch Times. “These politicians feel as strongly as I do, and slowly but surely, we have built a growing consensus of other representatives and candidates who want to send a strong, clear message to Congress to do whatever it takes to pull the shots.”
