Fairfield Fire Department crews extinguished a fire that destroyed a commercial garage attached to a house that started on the night of Sept. 5, and was contained early this morning, according to fire officials.
Battalion Chief John Sturde said the two-alarm fire in the 2000 block of North Texas Street was first reported at 10:44 p.m. on Sept. 5.
