The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Monday it is monitoring two new tropical waves as Hurricane Gabrielle is set to move away from the United States.

One tropical system located 300 miles east of the Leeward Islands, the archipelago that separates the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, could form into a tropical depression within the coming week, according to Monday’s bulletin from the center.
