HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—When former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Jacob “Tito” Ortiz decided to run for Huntington Beach City Council, he had two goals in mind: one, to fight for the city he was born in; and two, to win.
“I’m not a politician. I’m not a career politician. I’m just a hardworking American that cares about the city, cares about the state, and cares about this country, and I’m gonna fight for it,” Ortiz told The Epoch Times. “I mean, I’ve been fighting my whole life. Nothing’s gonna change now.”
