SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Kevin Kiley (R), current State Assemblyman for California 6th Assembly District, is one of six candidates running for a special primary election for California State Senate District 1.

The seat became vacant after Ted Gaines (R) was elected to represent District 1 of the California State Board of Equalization.
