Elected officials, environmental advocates, and actress Jane Fonda gathered in Laguna Beach, California, on Oct. 18 in a joint effort to support state Sen. Dave Min’s (D-Irvine) promise to ban all offshore oil drilling off the coast of California following the recent oil spill near Huntington Beach.

After the oil spill off the coast of Huntington Beach in early October, which released thousands of gallons of oil into the ocean due to a broken pipeline, the overall message at the event was, “No Drilling, No Spilling.”
