Education Department Opens Title IX Probe Into New Hampshire School District

A New Hampshire district is under review as federal officials examine compliance with sex-based protections.

The Department of Education (DOE) has opened a Title IX investigation due to alleged misuse of girls-only spaces in a New Hampshire school district.

According to the department’s Office for Civil Rights, there has been concern that the Contoocook Valley School District in Peterborough, New Hampshire, has been allowing boys to use the girls’ restrooms and locker rooms.
