A California-based company recalled 18 specialty drinks that were distributed in 25 states, due to the risk of Salmonella contamination, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

SKS Copack issued the recall after it “received notification from its supplier regarding a voluntary recall initiated” by California Dairies for a lot of non-fat dry milk powder because it was potentially contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause potentially severe illness in some people, said the news release issued this past week. Salmonella was discovered by California Dairies after routine testing, it added.
