A Georgia Department of Transportation worker was killed on Thursday, Jan. 18 after his truck was struck by a train.
Cary Byron Ellerbee, 60, was treating a roadway covered in snow and ice when his salt truck was hit by a freight train at approximately 9 a.m. on the tracks at the intersection of Railroad Street and Bethlehem Church Road in Moreland, reported WSB-TV2, citing CSX Corporation statement.
