Thousands of children’s bike helmets and camping stoves are being recalled due to hazards that could cause severe injuries or death, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on Nov. 26.

The recall includes approximately 10,000 Outdoor Master children’s and youth helmets that don’t meet mandatory federal safety standards for bicycle helmets, making young riders vulnerable in crashes. According to the agency, the helmets fail to meet positional stability and coverage requirements, which could result in inadequate protection against head injuries.

The CPSC recommends consumers stop using the products immediately.

The affected models include the OM-TD BIKE, a blue helmet with a dinosaur print, black padding, and straps, sold in children’s small size for head circumferences of 48 to 52 cm (18.9 to 20.5 inches). It bears a label inside reading “OM-TD BIKE” and “05/2024,” the manufacture date. The second model, OM-KSKB, is deep green with black padding and yellow straps, available in youth small for 46 to 52 cm (18.1 to 20.5 inches) heads, labeled “OM-KSKB” and “11/2022.”

No incidents or injuries have been reported, but the CPSC warned that the defects pose a serious risk. The helmets were imported by Maysun Products, Inc., doing business as Outdoor Master of Chino, California, and manufactured in China. They were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from June 2024 through February 2025 for $20 to $32.

Consumers should contact Outdoor Master for instructions for a full refund and dispose of the helmets in the trash.

In addition, Walmart pulled approximately 201,000 Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves off shelves after 26 reports of explosions or fires, causing 16 injuries, such as second-degree burns. The dark green stoves, model BG2247A1 with an orange “Ozark Trail” logo, can ignite unexpectedly, posing burn and fire risks.

The model number is located on a gray label inside the fuel compartment. The item is imported by Walmart Inc. of Bentonville, Arkansas, and made by China Window Industry Co., Ltd. of Taipei, Taiwan. The stoves sold at Walmart stores and Walmart.com from March 2023 to October 2025 for $8 to $45.

The CPSC, which issues voluntary recalls to reduce risks to consumers, also conducted recalls in 2025 for faulty strollers and fireworks.
