A 27-year-old man accused of shooting his 16-year-old girlfriend three times is being held on $3 million bail, reported the Hartford Courant.

Dominique Pittman of Waterbury Connecticut faces charges of murder and criminal possession of a firearm in the shooting death of his girlfriend, Wilby High School student Evelyse Santiago. He may face additional charges depending on when the relationship started. The age of consent in Connecticut is 16.
