Christopher Columbus Statue Taken Down in Buffalo, New York

A Christopher Columbus statue in New York state was taken down Friday morning after local officials decided to have it removed.

Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, a Democrat, ordered the removal of the statue after reaching an agreement with the Federation of Italian-American Societies of Western New York.
