Chicago Mayor and Police Unions Wage Legal Fight Over Vaccine Mandate

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot resorted to the courts Oct. 14 to force her vaccine mandate upon rank-and-file Chicago police officers.

Lightfoot’s move came after she ended month-long negotiations with police unions. In response, four Chicago law enforcement unions sued Lightfoot to force her to come back to the negotiation table.
