The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on May 19 confirmed that it is directing Americans who were recently on a cruise ship where a hantavirus outbreak took place to remain in a quarantine facility for an additional period.

The CDC said in a statement that it asked 18 Americans who were flown from the MV Hondius to a quarantine facility in Omaha, Nebraska to remain at the facility through May 31.
