California Rent Continues to Rise, Residents Express Worries

The average rent price in California has risen in the past year, making California the most expensive state to live in, according to a study released last week from Apartment Guide, an apartment search engine.

According to the report, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the state jumped from $2,100 to $2,616—a 24 percent increase compared to 2020.
