YORBA LINDA, Calif.—A group of eight gubernatorial candidates gathered in Yorba Linda on July 16 to discuss the state’s most pressing issues.

With the special election set for Sept. 14, the candidates also argued the necessity of recalling Gov. Gavin Newsom.
