Brad Raffensperger Launches 2026 Bid for Georgia Governor

The secretary of state entered the crowded Republican primary, in a challenge to Trump-endorsed Lt. Gov. Burt Jones.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced on Sept. 17 that he is running for state governor in the 2026 election.

Raffensperger, who was previously an engineering entrepreneur, said he is a “job creator.”
