Bomb Threats Force Closure of Multiple Southern California Catholic Schools, Other Campuses

LA VERNE, Calif.—Several Southern California schools, including some Catholic campuses, were closed for the day Oct. 16 while authorities investigated an apparent wave of threats that were later determined not credible.

According to a statement from the La Verne Police Department (LVPD), Damien High School was evacuated and closed for the day on Monday morning “for what has now been determined to be a non-credible threat from overseas.
