A police body camera video shows Denver Bike Patrol Officer Sean Drew use a tourniquet to fellow Officer Travis Lloyd after he was shot in the leg.
An employee went out to flag down two officers on June 13 after Carnell Nelson allegedly robbed the store on Colfax Avenue near the state Capitol.
Nelson shot at the officers first as an officer pursued him. He shot officer Travis Lloyd in the leg, KDVR reported.
Nelson fired five shots in all, also hitting a bystander in the foot, according to the report.
Lloyd fired 13 times, hitting Nelson in the chest. The DA’s office said that Lloyd shot at Nelson to defend himself and other people on the street.
Nelson was killed in the shooting, reports said.
Lloyd won’t face charges in the incident.
