The Biden administration has turned every state into a border state, says Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas).

“Every state is now considered a border state. Every county is now considered a border county, because of the influx of literally millions and millions of illegal aliens who have been invited in and enabled via this Biden administration,” Babin said in an interview with “Capitol Report,” a program on The Epoch Times’ sister media outlet NTD News.

In Babin’s opinion, it will be a top issue not only for his home state of Texas, but for the entire country going into the midterms.

He called the situation at the border “nightmarish,” pointing to the skyrocketing number of deaths of aliens in 2022.

According to CBP officials, at least 782 illegal aliens have died while crossing the southern border in fiscal year 2022, eclipsing last year’s record by over 240.
The lawmaker further sounded an alarm that over 100,000 Americans died of drug overdoses in the 12 months ending in April 2021, based on a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The study shows that more than 64,000 of these deaths resulted from synthetic opioids such as fentanyl—the deadliest opioid in existence.

As reports emerge that China has played a key role in flooding America with fentanyl, Babin blames the failure of the border policies that have enabled the deadly substance to be smuggled into the United States.

“... we have enabled the Chinese to send in those ingredients to Mexico, who then mix them up—even putting rainbow colors into their fentanyl pills to make them attractive to children and young people,” he said.

“No other administration has ever—ever—helped, enriched, or empowered the Mexican drug cartels the way Secretary [of Homeland Security Alejandro] Mayorkas and President [Joe] Biden and Kamala Harris have done,” he declared.

Sharp differences Between the Two Parties

The Texas lawmaker pointed out that there is a distinct contrast between the Democratic and Republican parties nowadays—to an extent he had never seen before.

Babin characterized the Democratic Party as a socialistic one that advocates for woke policies, political correctness, open borders, and letting criminals out of jail.

The party, he said, wants to weaken America with its pro-radical leftism.

“Over and over again, we’ve seen the Democrats prioritize climate change over national security, over the prosperity of the American taxpayer. It is incredible,” Babin noted.

In contrast, the Republican Party “believes in strong traditional values, our Constitution, the rule of law, closed and secure borders,” he said.

Growing Public Awareness of the Contrast

Babin believes Americans have become more and more aware of the sharp differences between the two parties.

“The American people know what’s going on every time they go to the grocery store, fill up their gas tanks, have to worry about criminals in their communities, and see the millions of illegal aliens swarming into our country,” he said.

Babin pointed to the letter sent by the National School Boards Association (NSBA) to President Joe Biden comparing parental behavior at school board meetings to domestic terrorism in late 2021.
The letter referred to the protest by parents in Virginia against the COVID restrictions and the teaching of critical race theory in district schools in June that year. The NSBA characterized the protests as “domestic terrorism” and appealed to federal agencies to use laws designed to target domestic terrorism, such as the PATRIOT Act, to address the issue.

NSBA later apologized for the letter. Yet the issue of parents’ rights in education propelled Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin to a historic win in Virginia, a swing state that hadn’t voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 2004.

“I think the American people all over this country are in the same frame of mind as those Virginians that tossed out the Democratic Party of Virginia, were,” Babin stated.

The Epoch Times reached out to the White House and the Department of Homeland Security for comment.
