A Detroit police vehicle was attacked late on June 28 by a group that included agitators armed with hammers, Police Chief James Craig told reporters.

A group of 25 to 30 individuals that included some wearing “Black Lives Matter” shirts surrounded the car on Vernor Highway, blocking the vehicle’s pathway and jumping on the hood of the SUV.
