Brea Fest

Known as the “tastiest” celebration in the city, the Brea Fest features delicious food and beverages donated by local restaurants. Guests can enjoy live music while tantalizing their taste buds, and also take in exhibitions in the Brea Gallery, demonstrations by artists, and much more.

Face painting, make-and-take crafts, and a bounce house are also available for children.

68th Annual Fiesta Music Festival

This family-friendly event will promise you an entire day of fun with food and game booths, live performances on three stages, contests for all ages, arts and crafts shows, face painters, and much more.

Summer Dance Party at Great Park

This event is part of Irvine’s Summer in the City series, featuring fan favorites from the 80s with live music and a DJ. Food and drinks are available to purchase on-site.

Make sure to bring foldable chairs and blankets as seating is limited.

Free Yoga on the Farm

Bring a mat or towel to enjoy yoga and a nice morning breeze at the Ecology Center. The session is open to all skill levels, and guests are required to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the session.

Niguel Botanical Preserve

Checking out the preserve is a must if you are looking for a family-friendly outing with a gorgeous view. This 18-acre facility is located right above the amphitheater within the Crown Valley Community Park, featuring an abundance of plants from all over the world.

Learn as you traverse the 4-mile-long trail and read through informative boards.

Volunteer with Freedom Youth Foundation

Have a day of fun with foster youth at the Orangewood Children and Family Center. Volunteers can assist with a variety of activities including coaching, mentoring, and playing games.

Volunteers need to be 18 or older, must register in advance and a background check is mandatory.

Beach Cleanup at Balboa Pier

Bring your family and friends to enjoy the ocean breeze while helping to maintain the shoreline at the Balboa Pier. The event is also a good opportunity for students to earn volunteer service hours.
