Days after Hurricane Dorian impacted the Bahamas and the East Coast of the United States, 28 wild horses reportedly died after floodwaters rapidly overtook North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

The Charlotte Observer reported that the wild horses of the Cedar Island herd, mostly younger horses, died in the incident.
