Voter turnout among Orange County, California residents stood at 36.9 percent in the March 5 primary, as per unofficial results provided by the county registrar. These figures were updated as of March 14 at 5 p.m.
Out of 1,819,334 registered voters, 670,614 cast ballots either by mail, submitting their ballot at a certified drop box, or voting in person at a vote center.
Board of Supervisors
With current 1st District Supervisor Andrew Do ineligible for reelection due to term limits, Orange County is set to welcome at least one new supervisor to its ranks.1st District
State Sen. Janet Nguyen maintains a strong lead in the race, surpassing Cypress Councilwoman Frances Marquez with 43.52 percent of the vote compared to Ms. Marquez’s 26.08 percent. Trailing behind are Van Tran—Supervisor Do’s chief of staff—Westminster Vice Mayor Kimberly Ho, and former Fountain Valley Mayor Michael Vo.If none of the five candidates in the district secures more than 50 percent of the vote, the top two contenders will advance to a November runoff.
3rd District
With 63.58 percent of the votes, incumbent Donald Wagner leads the race ahead of Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan, the sole challenger for the seat.

All three incumbents are likely to retain their seats in their respective races.Incumbent Jorge Valdes holds a lead over opponent Beatriz Mendoza with approximately 57.02 percent of the vote, vying for representation in Area 1, covering portions of Anaheim, Santa Ana, and Tustin.
Meanwhile, incumbent Ken Williams maintains an edge over opponent Nancy Watkins with 53.2 percent of the vote, aiming to represent Area 3, stretching from Brea to Irvine.
In Area 4, incumbent Tim Shaw leads opponent David Johnson with about 59.65 percent of the vote, covering territory from La Habra to Fullerton, Buena Park, Garden Grove, and extending to Westminster.

Ballot Measures - Huntington Beach
Measure A
Voters are leaning towards enabling the city to enforce voter ID requirements in municipal elections from 2026 onwards, alongside monitoring ballot drop boxes and adding 20 new voting locations citywide, with a 53.4 percent of yes vote.
Measure B
The measure is highly probable to pass, with 57.19 percent of votes in support.The proposal seeks to amend Huntington Beach’s charter, limiting flag displays on city property to government and military flags, alongside the POW/MIA flag, and the Olympic flag during the Summer Olympic Games.
Measure C
The measure is currently losing with 53.18 percent of voters opposing it. It proposes changes to filling city council vacancies, mandates the adoption of a two-year budget, and revises procedures for canceling city council meetings.
Ballot Measure - Irvine
Measure D, aimed at implementing city council districts in the City of Irvine and abolishing its current “at-large” method of electing city councilors, is on track for approval with 59.75 percent of the votes in support.
Ballot Measure - Westminster
Voters in Westminster are overwhelmingly approving a measure implementing a 0.5 percent sales tax increase, with 61.21 percent of yes votes.
