Two 17-year-old girls were arrested on suspicion of stealing thousands of dollars worth of beauty products in Orange County, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The thefts occurred March 22 at the Woodbury Walgreens at 6316 Irvine Boulevard, news broadcaster KTLA reported.

Police said officers spotted the girls leaving the store “with $3,000 in merchandise concealed under their clothing.”

Photos of the stolen goods released by police show a multitude of products including creams, lip glosses, foundation, and pressed powder. The products were shown in two tote bags.

The girls had allegedly put the products in the bags during their escape attempt, according to KTLA.

Detectives found that the girls were responsible for another theft that had occurred that day at a different store, police said.

Both girls were arrested and taken to jail for booking, while the stolen items were returned to the store.
