18-Year-Old Dies After Crashing His Car Into a Light Pole in Westminster

An 18-year-old man was killed March 31 after driving his car into a light pole in Westminster, the police said in a statement.

Westminster police responded at 1:52 a.m. to the area of westbound McFadden Avenue and Vermont Street after receiving a report of a single-vehicle accident.

When police arrived they found the victim had been ejected from his white BMW after crashing into the pole.

The Orange County Fire Authority arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene, according to the statement.

Authorities have not yet revealed the victim’s identity pending notification of his family.

There were no other occupants in the car, and no other vehicles were involved, police said.
