Construction on a new $16 billion set of rail tunnels under the Hudson River will resume after the Trump administration released millions of dollars in federal funding that had been frozen for months.

The Gateway Development Commission (GDC), the bi-state agency overseeing the project, said on Feb. 18 that it had received the full federal reimbursement that had been withheld and has more than $205 million available to mobilize the massive infrastructure effort.
