An 11-year-old driving a minivan recklessly crashed and flipped over during a rainstorm in Northern California over the weekend, officials said.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the incident started around 10:40 a.m. on Dec. 14 when they received multiple calls about a silver minivan driving erratically in Butte County, north of Sacramento. Callers said the van was driving at varying speeds and weaving between lanes heading south on State Route 99.
