The U.S. Senate held a hearing on June 23 to discuss whether changes to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act are needed to address the Chinese Communist Party’s culpability for the pandemic. This hearing is also prepared to withdraw the CCP’s immunity from prosecution for the pandemic, for subsequent prosecutions and claims against the Chinese authorities.

Chair of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Lindsey Graham: “Given the willfulness, the deceit, and the hard-heartedness—for a lack of a better word regarding the Chinese Communist Party’s handling of the coronavirus.

The United States suffered a great economic loss and a tremendous loss of human life due to the CCP’s cover-up of the virus. The Senate Committee on the Judiciary held a hearing on June 23 discussing whether amendments should be made in the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act to allow American individuals and enterprises the right to sue the CCP in the Federal Court to seek justice and compensation.
