Two women were arrested for trying to steal $11,000 in bras from a Victoria’s Secret store just outside of Sacramento, California.

An employee saw them stuffing their bags with the undergarments at the Folsom store but when she approached them, they tried to pepper spray her. The altercation slowed the women down enough that police were able to arrive in time and pursue them, ABC 7 reported.

An officer spotted the getaway car of 22-year-old Blanca Thalia Quintero and 19-year-old Antanae Lastar Welch as they attempted to flee, thanks to a description of the vehicle the store employee gave police, according to a Facebook post from the Folsom Police Department.

Both women were charged with robbery and conspiracy, and Quintero was also charged with unlawful possession of tear gas and using tear gas to commit a crime. They also found she had an outstanding arrest warrant from another county – also for theft. Welch was additionally booked for possession of a counterfeit $100 bill, according to police.

A photo accompanying the Facebook post shows a huge amount of bras in a variety of colors. Another photos shows packages of pepper spray and pepper gel.

“Victoria Secrets is expensive. If this was Walmart’s, they’d only be worth about $400,” wrote Sandra Burritt-Perrigo, commenting on the Folsom PD post.

“It’s like Oceans Eleven only with bras,” commented John Leo Huetter, comparing the crime to the Hollywood heist movie.

Police also explained to a commenter why the pepper spray was considered illegal in this incident.

“FPD, was unlawful possession of tear gas due to previous conviction(s)? They sell this brand in keychain form at Big 5,” asked Jennifer Jones, via the comments section.

“Yes, the brand is fine for non-prohibited persons to possess. There are certain prior convictions that prohibit possession of a pepper spray/tear gas device,” responded Folsom Police Department.

Both women were detained in the Sacramento County jail.
