A 1-year-old girl was among four family members shot dead in New York City early Wednesday morning.

The child’s grandmother discovered the baby dead around 5 a.m. at an apartment on Thatford Avenue, sources told Pix11.

The shots were fired in the Brownsville neighborhood in the Brooklyn borough of the city.

Police officers found the baby and three men dead with bullet wounds to the head.

The discovery was first made by the grandmother, who lived at the home, which is near Riverdale Avenue.

The NYPD confirmed via Twitter that officers are investigating the deaths of four people including one child at 345 Thatford Avenue in Brooklyn.
The victims were discovered throughout the apartment, reported The New York Post.

Authorities are investigating whether it was a triple murder-suicide because there were no signs of forced entry, but no gun had been recovered at the scene.

One of the men, a 27-year-old, is believed to be the father of the young girl, reported ABC7.

The second man was a 57-year-old while the third was 16, according to Pix11, who reported that the 57-year-old was married to the grandmother. Police officers are still investigating the exact relationships between the men but believe the older one may be the father of one of the younger ones.
