A shelter in place was declared for the University of South Carolina after reports of a shooting.
According to preliminary reports, shots may have been fired at the School of Public Health building. “SHORS FIRED AT NEW SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH. Seek safe shelter. Obey officials,” said the university. “Remain indoors. Obey officials,” the school said in an update at around 1:25 p.m. ET.
