There was a riot on the University of New Hampshire (UNH) campus on early Thursday morning after the Boston Red Sox win.
“Fireworks, chanting, screaming, people climbing trees, poles, cars, roofs,” said Marj, a student at the school, via Twitter.
Photos show people doing everything she described.
They also show riot police who responded.
There were about 3,000 people blocking Main Street, police said.
Students were tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets, people on the scene said on Twitter.
“Just got tear gassed and paintballed,” said Dylan Holland of the class of 2017.
Five students were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
They were Michael McGillicuddy, 20, of Rockport, MA; Marisa Hardy, 21, of Nashua; Evan Orlando, 22, of Mansfield, MA; Justin Pimentel, 18, of Pelham; and Robert Lougee, 18, of Bow.
