A small banner plane crashed near a dorm at the University of Florida in Gainseville, according to reports on Saturday.
The Gainseville Sun reported that two people were injured after the plane hit a tree.
“A banner plane went down in the area of Flavet field,” Gainseville police wrote on Twitter in confirming the crash.
The plane went down in the vicinity of Flavet Field. WUFT reported that it crashed near tailgaters.
Fire officials and first responders were on the scene.
