Ultra Street Fighter IV’s fifth character is still a mystery, but the game’s release date isn’t.
Based on current information, the female character can be found in the Street Fighter comic book series, according to Siliconera. Also, the character is a Capcom character that isn’t Asura, and she is described as a perfect fit for the Street Fighter universe.
Main choices are Sarai Kurosawa, Ibuki’s friend; and Dolls, Gouken’s daughter, according to Shoryuken.
As for the game itself, it will have the original 39 characters as well as the new characters Poison, Hugo, Elena, and Rolento.
It will also have six new battle stages, which all come from Street Fighter X Tekken–Half Pipe, Cosmic Elevator, Mad Gear Hideout, Jurassic Era Research Facility, Blast Furnace, and Pitstop 109.
It will come out on March 31, 2014 for Xbox 360, according to a Best Buy pre-order, although the official website says it won’t be out for 360 and PS3 until June 2014.
The PC release date is slated for August.
For those that pre-order the game, they get an alternate costume for each of the new characters.
In addition, players who purchase the full retail-digital release of the update will get all of the previous DLC costumes for free.
New gameplay techniques include the Ultra Combo Double, which allows players to choose both of their character’s Ultra Combos at the cost of doing less damage; the Red Focus Attack, which absorbs multiple hits; and the Delayed Standing, which enables players to alter the timing of their character’s wakeup.
As for new modes, those that have been detailed so far are Elimination, which is an improved Team Battle Mode which resembles the three-on-three survival style from the King of Fighters series; and Online Training, which returns from Street Fighter X Tekken.
