UFO enthusiasts pouring over International Space Station footage seemingly have found a “massive red sphere” shooting a “laser beam.”

The video footage was captured on Dec. 5. As one blog notes, “It is not clear whether the object (Man-made or extraterrestrial) shoots the beam towards an object in space or Earth.”

The footage was captured at around 9:20 a.m. UK time, as seen below:

One user speculated on Youtube that it was a “ground-based laser satellite shot.”

It’s not the first time that people have claimed to have spotted alleged UFOs on ISS footage.

A few days ago, a grey smudge was filmed via the ISS camera over the earth.

According to the blog UFO Sightings Daily, a YouTube uploader found “an object that looks big, but I feel its much closer than we think. It has match speed with the space station as to follow it perfectly.”

That video footage was captured by the space station last month. The size and shape of the grayish-white object could not be made out.

And in October, a mystery object appeared in ISS footage during an astronaut spacewalk.

As The Mirror notes, “For around five seconds, a mystery craft - which is presumably hovering or flying in - is also visible in the background, in the pitch black. It appears in the camera frame between the space station and Earth - an area filled with just blackness only a few seconds eariler.”

At he time, flight engineers Reid Wiseman of NASA and Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency were on the spacewalk.

There’s speculation that the gray object could be just be lensflare. The video footage can be seen here:
