Ty Lawson, the guard for the Denver Nuggets, was arrested and charged with physical harassment and criminal mischief. The charges stem from domestic violence--possibly including striking, shoving, kicking, and likely property damage.

The Denver Channel reported that the charges require a restraining order.

The Denver Post reported that Lawson appeared Monday in Arapahoe County court and was arraigned.

Lawson, 25, is free after posting a $1,000 bond.

Other details are unclear.

Last season was Lawson’s best season, posting 16.3 points, 6.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game during the regular season.

He signed a four-year contract extension worth $48 million, according to reports.
