NEW YORK—Two people were injured in an early morning shooting in Chelsea on Friday. Eyewitness accounts said that four shots were fired at about 6 a.m.

“I heard at least four shots, bang, bang, bang,” said Joe Habib, 23, who works on the 8th floor of the building next door and he comes in at 4 a.m. When Habib came down for breakfast about half an hour later, he said “it was like a zoo” with police and bystanders.

Habib also saw an ambulance taking one person away on a stretcher.

A colleague of Habib’s, who did not want to give his name, also heard four shots fired. He said that there are “sometimes shady” people near the building.
