New Kansas football coach Charlie Weis has convinced a pair of highly rated quarterbacks to transfer to Kansas, according to a report on the university’s website.

First, former Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist tweeted Thursday that he was coming to Kansas. “After a long & difficult decision making process, I’m incredibly excited to join the Kansas football team,” read Crist’s tweet. “Rock Chalk Jayhawk!”

Crist, a five-star prospect out of high school, was recruited by Weis to Notre Dame as part of his 2008 class and since he’s graduated already, he’s eligible to play his final season without sitting out a year.

In addition to Crist, BYU transfer Jake Heaps will attend Kansas as well, according to another report on KU’s website. Heaps was a four-star prospect out of high school and though he'll have to sit out one season, he still has two years of eligibility remaining.
