Two-headed pig: A two-headed pig was born recently in China’s Jianxi Province, according to reports on Friday.

An AFP photographer captured the birth of the baby pig on camera in the village of Jiujiang.

A local veternarian told the news agency that the pig suffered from a rare deformity and would likely not survive for very much longer.

The news follows a recent report of a two-headed shark fetus being caught off the coast of Florida.

The fetus, which was discovered in a bull shark, was described in a recent study in the  Journal of Fish Biology. An abstract of the study said the fetus was the result of “axial bifurcation,” which is rare among animals.
