Two Cars Stopped in Parking Lot—What the Red Car Driver Does Is Shocking

Philadelphia police are investigating an alleged road rage incident after recovering surveillance footage which shows a violent attack by several motorists.

The footage, which was released by police on Wednesday, May 23, shows a silver SUV being followed by a red pickup truck. They two vehicles stop at a parking lot at Luzerne Street, near East Luzerne and Richmond Streets.

The motorist of the red vehicle then gets out of his truck and goes towards the SUV while holding a sledgehammer. He then swings his sledgehammer which shatters the driver side window of the SUV as it is seen attempting to leave.

The motorist, who is wearing a fluorescent yellow shirt, then repeatedly hits the SUV causing the passenger to “fall out” and move away from the cars, according to a police statement.

The passenger then attempted to reenter the vehicle but was stopped by the sledgehammer-wielding motorist, who ends up striking the passenger and breaking the rear window of the SUV.

Both vehicles then leave the parking lot in different directions.

No arrests have been made in relation to the incident. The police investigation is still ongoing.
