Three female journalists have had bomb threats made against them recently on Twitter, sparking a police investigation.

Guardian columnist Hadley Freeman, Independent columnist Grace Dent, and Time magazine’s Catherine Mayer are the three woman.

The threats follow rape threats made on Twitter against MP Stella Creasy and feminist campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez, according to BBC

The tweet, coming from what looks like a spamming account (it had no actual profile photo) said “A BOMB HAS BEEN PLACED OUTSIDE YOUR HOME. IT WILL GO OFF AT EXACTLY 10:47PM ON A TIMER AND TRIGGER DESTROYING EVERYTHING,” according to the Guardian

The threat was made against Freeman at 5:50 p.m. BST on Wednesday.
