As kids, most of us would have had the experience of selling things by the corner of our house, waiting patiently for a potential buyer to stop by. Twin boys named Allen and Brandon Alexander, from Los Angeles, were spotted doing the same act as they were taking an entrepreneurship lesson from their father, Tim, on one fine Sunday morning. The young boys were jumping up and down and holding up a “For Sale” sign for the 8-foot-5-inch-tall (approx. 2.6-meter) teddy bear in Toluca Lake, California. Together with their dad, the twins had decided it was time for Big Bear to find a new family to live with.
The twins spent an hour waving on the street with their sales pitch—an asking price of $50—to passing traffic, whilst the giant bear sat on a blue futon, getting an occasional hug from one of the boys.
After the boys had waited patiently for a potential buyer, a white Cadillac stopped by with Angelina Jolie and her daughter, Shiloh. However, the boys were completely unaware that she was an Oscar-winning actress. Dad filled them in later together with her connection to “the animated movie, Kung Fu Panda.”
In Dad’s video, Angelina’s friendliness shows as she can be heard saying to the twin boys, “You are very good at doing your job, sweetie. You guys are so cool. It’s so nice to meet you.”
She even asked one of the boys, to “Tell me your favorite animal.”
They all shook hands on the deal before Angelina and her daughter drove away. The generous actress has six children in her household, so a Big Bear has indeed found a good home. This was truly heartwarming.
While living near Los Angeles, the center of America’s film and television industry, one could expect to see celebrities out and about. As for a close encounter with a celebrity—that might not happen to too many people. These twins surely have a lovely memory, and a video too, of this celebrity encounter.
Meanwhile, a third one chimed in, “Sweet. .way to go Allen and Brandon.”
