TAICHUNG, Taiwan—Formosa Television Chairman Tien Tsai-ting attended Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company’s 2013 premiere in Taichung at the Taichung Zhongshan Hall on the evening of March 7. During intermission, Mr. Tien happily shared with his friends his exhilarating feeling about the magnificence of the Shen Yun performance.
As chairman of one of the major TV stations in Taiwan, who has seen various top notch performances, Mr. Tien said pleasantly: “How on earth was the stage effect done so well! The costumes were so beautiful and the backdrops were so splendid. They are amazingly fantastic and beyond my imagination. They are really remarkable.”
Chairman Tien further noted: “I truly agree with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance [the principles advocated by Falun Gong]. We should do things righteously with compassion and say something good. Though Falun Gong is persecuted so badly in China, they still persist in getting together so many people with cultural activities. I was indeed deeply moved.”
“In this global village, what is most crucial is not to tell lies. So the principle of ‘Truthfulness’ advocated by Falun Gong is especially precious. As to the principle of ’Compassion,‘ it goes without saying that we should do things righteously with compassion and say something good. Lastly, the principle of ’Tolerance' is also something important in this global village. I believe Falun Dafa is good, although I haven’t done in-depth research on it, but I can feel it.”
Finally, Chairman Tien said, “All of the people in Taiwan should see the magnificence of Shen Yun.”
Formosa TV Station, better known as FTV, is the fourth TV station among the six TV networks in Taiwan. It is also the first purely private TV station company. Tien Tsai-ting is a former DPP lawmaker, and is the ex-chairman of an opposition party in Taiwan.
