TORONTO—TTCriders, a public transit advocacy group that claims to “give transit riders a voice,” has released its first report card evaluating the TTC’s performance.

“The report card makes it clear the TTC is not on track toward building a public transit system that properly serves the needs of all transit users,” according to the group’s website.

The report slams the TTC for not increasing service to match increased ridership and for its high fares, which cover more costs than any other North American city.

However, there was praise for transit expansion—the group says that is “back on track.”

Other suggestions were to hasten the process of making the TTC fully accessible and to publish reports detailing how much “greener” it is to take the TTC rather than than drive.

Anyone who wants their voice heard in regards to transit efficiency and usage can sign up to become part of the group.
