One of President Donald Trump’s lawyers said that certifications issued by state officials of the presidential election are merely a “procedural step.”

“Certification by state officials is simply a procedural step,” attorney Jenna Ellis wrote on Nov. 23. “We are going to continue combatting election fraud around the country as we fight to count all the legal votes. Americans must be assured that the final results are fair and legitimate.”
