True Blood is over after seven seasons and fans are wondering whether it will continue either through a movie or a spinoff show.
It seems that Pam and Eric could be the focus of a spinoff if one in fact happens.
“I believe that there is life in Eric and Pam running a multinational corporation,” showrunner Brian Buckner said when asked about a spinoff, reported Entertainment Weekly.
A source close to the cast told gossip blog Celeb Dirty Laundry that there is a movie spinoff in the works.
“The powers that be are pushing for a spin-off, but they want to do it with the original cast, they don’t want to have to introduce new actors and actresses,” said the source.
“There are a couple key characters that have other projects in the works at the moment and don’t want to commit to the movie, but they are in discussions.”
Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton) hinted at another project early this year, when a writer with The Examiner asked him what the future may hold for True Blood fans after the final season ended.
“I’m not sure about the summer of 2015, but if things go the way I’m hoping there will be something to watch in the summer of 2016,” he said. “We'll have an announcement about that… soonish.”
