True Blood’s season 7 finale--also its series finale--will air on Sunday, August 24 at 9 p.m. EDT.

HBO has released the description for the episode, which will be one-hour.

“Sookie (Anna Paquin) weighs a future with and without Bill (Stephen Moyer). Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) struggle with their uncomfortable partnership with Mr. Gus (Will Yun Lee),” it says.

“Sam (Sam Trammell) makes a choice, while Andy (Chris Bauer) comes upon an unexpected inheritance.”

With at least one death likely in the cards, some fans are predicting that Pam, who is at death’s door by the end of episode 9, will end up dead before the series ends.

Backing up the major death theory, Anna Paquin said in a recent interview that all of the lead characters get together for a scene towards the end of the finale.

“Most of the cast wrapped on Monday,” she told Seth Meyers on his late night show recently. “We had this big, giant scene that’s one of the last scenes in episode 10 where everyone is there. We did a lot of crying and hugging.”

Hypable has made a series of predictions, including that Mr. Gus will deliver a fatal blow to Sookie, but she will be saved by Bill or Eric.

Pam and Eric will then kill Gus, obtain the synthesized cure, then kill Sarah.

“We’re making this prediction because Eric wants Sarah dead and for the cure to be out of the hands of Gus. We’re hoping there’s an epic takedown of Mr. Gus and the Yakonomo Corporation, because this is the only plot thread remaining that would yield one big, final battle,” Hypable said.

Meanwhile, a clip that was just released shows Sookie remembering that life used to be simpler.
