Jeff Bridges and Cookie Monster Sing “Silver Bells”Jeff Bridges made an appearance at the end of Saturday Night Live during 2010's final festive episode, Dec. 18, singing "Silver Bells" with "Sesame Street" character Cookie Monster.
The legendary blue puppet began a Facebook campaign last month called "Cookie Monster should host Saturday Night Live!" and his dream came true—singing and dancing next to Bridges, as he played an acoustic guitar.
"So Cook. What do you want for Christmas, man?" Bridges asked Cookie.
"An iPad," Cookie said, making a joke about digital cookies. "No me kidding!" he added. "C-o-o-k-i-e-s!"
The pair sang and joked to the end of the song before Bridges gave the blue monster not one, but two halves of a giant cookie.
Bridges's new movie Tron: Legacy went straight to the top of the U.S. Box Office over the weekend, taking $43.6 million, according to early estimates from Hollywood.com.
The movie is the long-awaited sequel to Tron, in which Bridges starred in 1982.
