Toyota Racing has announced its 2013 plans for the FIA World Endurance Championship, and much to the delight of its fans, the factory will run two cars full time all season.

Toyota will be back with its TS030 Hybrids, and the 2012 drivers will also return: Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima in the #7 car, and Stéphane Sarrazin, Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi in the #8.

Toyota provided perennial championship winner Audi with some serious competition in 2012, despite running only one car and having a limited budget. With a pair of cars generating data and testing different developments, Toyota should be able to once again offer the reinvigorated Audi team a stiff battle for the world sports car championship.

Toyota will be bringing both cars to Le Mans—no third entry, although Audi chose that option. Apparently the Japanese manufacturer feels it can match its rivals without that extra bullet in the gun.

The 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship season starts with the Six Hours of Silverstone on April 14. Tickets are available now through the Silverstone website.
